Bad Mood Rant - Stay Away!

I may just be in a bad mood and I may delete this right after I post it, but I'm feeling like I have nothing to say that could possibly be of interest to people out there.  We don't play publicly at parties or privately with other people.  We don't use harsh implements.  We don't post about our intimate sex life.  I don't feel the desire to shave myself to look like a 10 year old.  (After reading comments on Florida Dom's most recent post, I must be the only one!)  I don't post pictures of naked women (or men).  I don't have multiple doms or multitple sex partners.   I don't publish erotic fiction.  I obviously don't have a problem if other people do all of the above since I read your blogs, but how many times can I post about our everyday, boring life and spankings?  This is a very diverse group of people and I enjoy reading your blogs, but how interesting is it to read about us?  I see a few blogs out there with couples in a similar situation to ours, but not many.  We're not flashy, we're not daring, we're not young and we're certainly not keeping up with everything new and exciting.  I may be back to post tomorrow or I may need to take a break for a while.  I'm just feeling alienated at the moment!

I've been lurking on your blog for quite a while and I enjoy it very much!!! Not all of us are into kink or bdsm.

Like you I am a normal woman who practices DD. Ok I do write spanking stories but that is about as kinky as it gets.

Like you my blog does not contain naked pictures or in depth detail about our sex life. I may refer to it but no intimate details.

Don't think because you aren't like everyone else out there that you don't have something to add! There are those of us out there that enjoy hearing from others in the same type of relationships.

If you need to take a break, but come back soon, there are a lot of us out here that would miss you!

awwww.....Meow....

You know what?? Write for YOU! And not anyone else. If people read it, they do, if not -- so what? It's for you. :)

I like everyday ordinary blogs. Does it appeal to the ones who want tons of pictures?? (mostly men...lol) no, not really. But you know what, I don't care. If that's all someone wants, then go away. Because I like to associate with people in a way that allows me to know them deeper, and them me.

Keep up what you're doing.

Oh, and not all of us shave in order to look like 10 yr olds. It helps relieve itching that hair can cause, plus makes oral sex a lot more yummy sensation-wise. :) But hey, if it's not for you, it's not for you.

Hope you feel better.

I agree with what's already been said. You should write for you. I find your blog interesting, bold, daring, and all that stuff you think it's not.

1. It's a peak into someone's mind, how can that not be interesting?
2. You talk about being spanked and your spanking relationship- how is that not bold?
3. You put all of these things out there on the web for everyone and anyone to see - I see that as pretty damn daring!

To sum up.. you have plenty to contribute to this world of blogging.

*hugs*

Oh, Meow, I don't do most of the things you mentioned either. And we are definitely not youngsters! As R and S said, write for YOU.

Take a break if you need one, and come back refreshed.

Hugs,
Hermione

Meow- I like reading about everyday life. You get to know more about the individual, and not just about spanking. I am not about all the spanking pictures either, although, I do enjoy writing. If you need a break, take it, but do come back because I enjoy your blog.
Hugs,
Katia

Hey, honey,
The main blogs I gravitate towards, before any others, in case you hadnt noticed, are those written by Bonnie, you, Hermione, Lash, Ronnie, Bear and Penfold (and Davey of course!), Grace, and Brambleberry (Carly)

We all have something in common...we are in committed relationships, and are spanked by our own partner only...
As you say, each to their own, but I prefer reading things I can identify with...things I can imagine really happening in MY real life, rather than something I cannot picture at all, even in fantasy; some things I read about in other blogs leaves me thinking, "is that even POSSIBLE?" lol...the mind boggles!
You, and those I have mentioned, are not as much in the minority as people would have you think... I am certain some blogs written are fictional, "I wish" wannabees!!!

Take care...and stick with us, or there will be a distinct lack of wonderful, exciting normality in our blogworld!!!!
Hugs, xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Meow,
My blog is similar to yours. I'm not married and don't live with my man. Our relationship is much newer than yours. Other than that I'm on your page. I don't post or seek naked pictures.

I have tried writing intimate details, but it isn't for me.

You write for you. It is a privilege for us to come and read ~ one we can lose with one click of your mouse. I like reading and I hope you don't choose to shut us out or shut yourself down.

Happy spanking,
Maryann

And, as to shaving or not, that is a preference between partners, and nobody elses business!!!
I too don't post as much intimacy as others, preferring to leave it to peoples imagination. If others want to, great, it makes for some VERY erotic reading ;) but I like what Davey and I do to be just between us, intimate, private. It somehow loses its special flavour when shared...
I have to say, I have read Ronnies accounts and they positively SIZZLE.... but, you won't get that from me... I do joketime and recipes instead, LOL....

Meow - I like what R & S said, write for you. Someone occasionally tells me that and it helps so much. And besides I really like your blog!

I know you've already posted the "rant over!" post.. But I hope that doesn't preclude me commenting here...

I just wanted to say I HATE erotic fiction. Drives me up a wall. I'm pleased as punch to read about real people and their sex lives (though I'm just as pleased to read about anything else they want to write about, provided I think they are good writers!) but I HATE erotic fiction! Bores me to death, I can't get more than two words into it without wanting to poke my eyes out with rusty forks.

*beams*

And... Like s said, I don't shave to look like a child... I shave there for the same reason I shave under my arms - less bacteria=less smell, it's smoother, it feels better, and I just HATE hair. I remove hair from my arms as well, I think it looks manly to have hair arms. (I'm a weirdo, though.)

Take care, miss meow. :)

Just another "me too" post -- I love blogs about people I can relate to. It's not boring -- it's affirming and enlightening. Keep it honest (to the degree that you want to share) and you will have loyal followers.

I have been less than 100% so I haven't been around reading and commenting as much but I wanted to stop by and touch base with you on this post.

Yes, there are all the things that you mentioned available to be read here in our little blogging family, and we are a blogging family. Funny you should mention FD's post, I just never got around to responding and honestly I wouldn't want to tell you since it would be like telling my Aunt's and that is not about to happen :) But since you mentioned it I am gonna make a post about it. I have a very funny story to tell.

At any rate, remember the Capt and Maria? The clip I posted celebrating the life-long friendship of the two actors in the movie? You and Lash were among the inspirations for that post.

Some people fantasize about some very creative and erotic things. Some people fantasize about making cake and laughing over coffee on the deck. I guess I am saying, everyone has different desires and motivations. Just because it isn't spicy, and erotic and overtly sexual does not make it any less desirable and fascinating and captivating.

Someone has to be an example for 'doing the right thing'. And doing the right thing not as some mindless automaton accepting all sorts of degrading and demeaning behavior as a sign of submission. But as a free-thinking intelligent woman who has the love and respect of her husband.

It is not always the dirty pics :) that makes people read.
