Favorites from Fiction

I've been re-reading some of the Stephanie Plum mystery series by Janet Evanovich and thinking about her two romantic heroes, Joe Morelli and Ranger. They are two very hot, very dominant guys and I can see either one giving Stephanie a good spanking!

I also love the Amelia Peabody mysteries by Elizabeth Peters. Amelia is very opinionated and bossy, but will often give in to Emerson (her husband). She usually draws a veil over their private moments, while indicating that they are very much mutually satisfying. I like to think that there could be a private DD element to their marriage.

Here's my question: Do you have favorite fictional characters that hint at a DD relationship or could benefit from a little D/s in their lives? Who would make a good dominant or HoH? Books, movies, TV? Anything goes!

Of course, there are so many! My all time favorite is probably the Diana Galbadon Outlander series, but you start to see references all over. Last night I finished a historical romance novel by Madeline Hunter....

"Charlotte, there are times like this when I want nothing more than to turn you over my knee!'
She did not even look up. "Would that arouse you Nathaniel?"

and:

"I remind you that...I can decide for myself!'
He cupped her face with long firm fingers. "I will protect you when I choose, how I choose. I will cut off my arm if I think it necessary. I will kill a man if I conclude I must. Do not dare to interfere with my decisions on that. Do we have a right understanding on that, madam?"

Hmmm, DD? Ya think?

Oh my, I love this post!
There are many fictional characters I believe would make excellent spankers and spankees....

Desi Arnaz (who actually did spank, so does that count?)

John Wayne (love McClintock which that picture came from), who also has spanked or referenced to spanking women in a couple of movies.

Johndalar (from Clan of the Cave Bear series, always seemed a little Dominating to me).

Petruchio (from Taming of the Shrew).

Elvis Presley

Brad Pitt (his character from Mr and Mrs Smith, although Angelina really wore the pants in that movie).

Charles Ingalls (Little House on the Prairie).

Leading actor from 'Calamity Jane'.

Leading actor in 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'.

I know there is plenty more, but I just can't think of them right now for some reason!

Great post though Meow, and thanks for jogging my memory of great movies etc!

I love the Stephanie Plum books! I am listening to Murder Game by Christine Feehan now and Kayden is definitely hoh! Her books always have the male as dominant, very dominant! I highly recommend her.

In case you were wondering the male lead (Adam)in 7B's for 7B's is Howard Keel, who was also Petruchio in Kiss me Kate. I love those movies and watch them over and over!

An interesting post, Meow, thanks for bringing it up!

I love the 'Miss Julia' series. No spanking or any real reference but there are times that she could really use it!

Ah, that was who played Adam in 7B's for 7B's - thank you!

If you liked that version of 'Kiss Me Kate', try out the John Cleese version (as he was the one I was referring to and in my opinion much more dominating without needing to spank hehe).

But I honestly didn't even recognise it was the same guy from Kiss Me Kate, who was also in 7B's for 7B's. So thanks for pointing that out, he has moved up a level on my favorite actors list!

7 Brides is my all-time favorite musical! Kidnapped by a "mountain man" was an old fantasy of mine, too. I haven't thought of that one in a while! And, yes, Howard Keel can be very dominant. Even in later years, seeing him on TV, he still had that aura of power about him. Meow
