Just one more story.....

To our grandson, we are Oma and Opa although he's a little confused about which is which.  On Saturday, our daughter called to say that he kept running to the computer and saying "Oma, Oma".  She finally figured out that he wanted to see us on the computer.  So, we Skyped and he seemed happy!  He'll be Skyping and emailing as soon as he can reach the keyboard, I bet!  My generation barely had TVs and learned to use computers as adults.  He won't even have to "learn" - it will be 2nd nature to him.
I'm glad I live in the computer age and I appreciate it because I lived without it for so long.  Being kinky and being isolated was hard and many of us have found our true selves through the online community.  Without it I could never have "come out" to my husband or discovered a whole world of people who like ttwd.  Hooray for the internet and instant access to it anywhere we go!

This reminded me...The first time I skyped with my youngest grandaughter, I had just visited then for a week. She was going around the house looking for grandma. My son sent me a text and we skyped...only my grandaughter kept going around to look at the back of the computer to see how grandma got in there! abby

Yes, its cute, isn't it?
My granddaughter aged 2 has only ever seen her grandad Davey on the computer screen... she has, as yet, never met him in real life! Whenever the phone rings, she screams, "grandad" down the phone (highly embarrassing when it is the bank manager...); and when she sees me using the computer, she looks for grandad on the screen... just lately, she has insisted on typing "letters" to grandad!xxx

I have to say that I have been so blessed by the blog that I have and the wonderful people that I have met here in Spankoland. None of it would have been possible if it weren't for the internet!!

I think there are many of us who would not have figured things out or had the impetus to proceed without the information available online and the community of other people. I know it's so for me.

The Internet can simultaneously be our savior and/or our serpent and I've certainly been on both sides. But I AM glad to have the option to reconnect with my cyberpals again and you are definitely on my short list! Glad to hear you're doing well and life is continuing for both of you and your extended family!

Hugs!

Kiwi and greengirl, I certainly agree. The internet can be good or bad, but it can be a wonderful tool to connect with people when used right.
